Falsely claims on Truth Social that shooting victim 'viciously ran over the ICE Officer' who is 'recovering in hospital'

Trump posted twice on Truth Social about the Minneapolis shooting, both times blaming Renee Good for her own death with demonstrably false claims. In his first post (afternoon), Trump wrongly said Good had 'violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense.' He added: 'It is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital.' Trump also posted video of the encounter, claiming 'the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting.' In his second post (evening), he doubled down: 'When a vehicle is coming at you and is being used as a weapon, deadly force is justified.' All claims are contradicted by evidence: video from multiple angles shows Good driving away from--not toward--the agent; the agent suffered no apparent injuries and was seen walking around the scene; no hospitalization was reported. The falsehoods set the narrative that subordinates Noem and Vance would subsequently echo.
