Federal Agents Block Minnesota BCA From Alex Pretti Crime Scene Despite Court Warrant

Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) Superintendent Drew Evans reported that BCA investigators were physically blocked from accessing the Alex Pretti shooting scene by federal agents. Evans stated: 'When our team arrived, they were blocked by federal agents.' The BCA obtained a search warrant from a judge to investigate the scene, but federal agents continued to block access even after the warrant was presented. Attorney General Keith Ellison called the federal occupation 'illegal and unconstitutional.' This mirrors the same tactic used after Renee Nicole Good's killing on January 7, when the FBI seized exclusive control of that investigation and cut out state authorities. The blocking of state investigators prevents independent verification of federal claims and evidence collection. DHS Secretary Noem announced that DHS would lead the investigation instead.
