Noem labels shooting victim Renee Good a 'domestic terrorist' who 'weaponized her vehicle'
Hours after ICE agent Jonathan Ross fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem labeled Good's actions 'an act of domestic terrorism.' Noem claimed Good was 'using a vehicle to try to kill an officer and his colleagues' and that she 'weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them.' Noem alleged Good was part of a 'mob of agitators' who had been 'stalking and impeding their work all throughout the day.' Video evidence contradicts these claims, showing Good driving away from--not toward--the agent who shot her. The New York Times noted 'the moment the agent fires, he is standing to the left of the SUV and the wheels are pointing to the right away from the agent.' Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who viewed the video, called the self-defense claim 'bullshit.' Noem defended the officer as 'experienced' who 'did follow his training' and said the FBI would investigate, excluding state authorities.
