Announces 'Trump Class' battleships and 'Golden Fleet' naval expansion named after himself

At Mar-a-Lago, Trump announced plans for the Navy to build a new class of large warships as part of a 'Golden Fleet' vision. The new 'Trump-class' vessels would include the USS Defiant, a 35,000-ton warship armed with hypersonic missiles, nuclear cruise missiles, rail guns, and high-powered lasers--more than double the size of current Zumwalt-class destroyers. Trump claimed they would be 'the fastest, the biggest, and by far 100 times more powerful than any battleship ever built.' He said the Navy would build up to 25 such vessels.
