Trump shares AI-generated deepfakes falsely showing Taylor Swift endorsing him

Trump posted AI-generated images on Truth Social falsely depicting Taylor Swift endorsing his campaign. One deepfake showed Swift in red, white and blue with text reading "Taylor Swift Wants You To Vote For Donald Trump." Trump captioned it "I accept!" He also shared images of women in "Swifties for Trump" shirts identified as AI-generated. Swift fan groups and digital watchdogs confirmed the images were deepfakes. Swift had previously supported Democratic candidates and criticized Trump. She would later officially endorse Harris after the September debate.
