Launches $60 'God Bless the USA Bible' - selling religion during criminal trial

Just before his criminal trial began, Trump launched the 'God Bless the USA Bible' for $59.99, marketed as the 'only Bible endorsed by President Trump.' The Bible includes the lyrics to Lee Greenwood's 'God Bless the USA,' plus copies of the U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and Pledge of Allegiance. CNN reported Trump was 'literally selling religion to his followers,' while The Guardian noted Christians 'opposed to infidelity and immorality have embraced a thrice-married man who can't name a single Bible verse.' The New York Times documented how Trump was 'framing his 2024 bid as a fight for Christianity' more than any previous campaign. The Bible launch came as Trump faced mounting legal bills from multiple criminal indictments and civil fraud judgments. Critics called the commercialization of Scripture cynical and blasphemous, particularly given Trump's inability to cite favorite Bible verses when asked.

"All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many. It's my favorite book." — Trump promotional video for God Bless the USA Bible, March 2024
