Trump lawyer Christina Bobb tells FBI she signed Mar-a-Lago document certification without conducting search

Christina Bobb, an attorney for Donald Trump, told federal investigators on October 7 that she signed a certification in June stating all classified documents had been returned from Mar-a-Lago, even though she did not personally conduct the search. Bobb said another Trump lawyer, Evan Corcoran, drafted the letter and asked her to sign it as "custodian of records." She added the caveat that her certification was "based upon the information that has been provided to me." Bobb's admission came after the FBI's August 8 search of Mar-a-Lago found more than 100 additional classified documents, making the false certification central to the Justice Department's obstruction of justice investigation.
