Pressures Wisconsin GOP leaders and repeats false Milwaukee ballot claim

In an emailed statement, Trump praised Wisconsin state Rep. Janel Brandtjen for issuing subpoenas seeking ballots and voting-machine records from Milwaukee and Brown counties, and pressed Assembly Speaker Robin Vos to "support Rep. Brandtjen's efforts" in authorizing them. In the same statement, Trump claimed "a Milwaukee election official even acknowledged dropping off just the margin of ballots needed for a Biden win at 3:00 AM." PolitiFact rated the claim "Pants on Fire," reporting the message Trump cited was described by Milwaukee Election Commission director Claire Woodall-Vogg as an inappropriate joke from an outside consultant, not an admission of wrongdoing. The statement extended Trump's post-Arizona push for partisan 2020 election reviews into a second state.
