Refuses to apologize to exonerated Central Park Five

Despite DNA evidence exonerating the Central Park Five and New York City paying them a $41 million settlement in 2014, Trump refused to apologize and falsely claimed they "admitted their guilt." In reality, another man confessed to the crime and was confirmed through DNA analysis as the perpetrator. Trump had taken out full-page newspaper ads in 1989 calling for the death penalty for the five teenagers. Yusef Salaam, one of the exonerated men, wrote that Trump's comments were "further proof of Trump's bias, racism and inability to admit that he's wrong."
