Says he'd take foreign election dirt instead of calling the FBI

In an ABC News interview, Trump told George Stephanopoulos that if a foreign government offered damaging information on his 2020 rival he would hear them out because it's just 'oppo research,' insisting 'it's not an interference' and saying the FBI director was 'wrong' to expect such contacts to be reported.

"It's not an interference. They have information. I think I'd take it." — ABC News interview with George Stephanopoulos, aired June 12, 2019
