Attacks Justin Trudeau as "dishonest & weak" and pulls out of G7 statement

After leaving the G7 summit in Quebec, Canada, Trump tweeted from Air Force One attacking Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as "meek and mild" during meetings who then gave "a news conference after I left saying that, 'US Tariffs were kind of insulting' and he 'will not be pushed around.' Very dishonest & weak." Trump instructed U.S. representatives not to endorse the joint G7 communique over Trudeau's comments about retaliatory tariffs. Trump economic adviser Larry Kudlow called Trudeau's news conference a "betrayal," while trade adviser Peter Navarro said "There's a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump." The incident shattered the appearance of allied unity and foreshadowed Trump's willingness to alienate democratic allies while courting autocrats.

"PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, 'US Tariffs were kind of insulting' and he 'will not be pushed around.' Very dishonest & weak." — June 9, 2018 tweets from Air Force One after leaving G7 summit, attacking Trudeau and pulling out of joint statement
