Celebrates Jerusalem embassy opening during deadly Gaza protests
As Israeli forces killed at least 58 Palestinians and injured thousands during protests along the Gaza border, Trump delivered a video message celebrating the opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem as a "great day for Israel." He made no mention of the violence, while his son-in-law Jared Kushner blamed the protesters for the bloodshed, calling them "part of the problem."
"Big day for Israel. Congratulations!" — Twitter/Video Message, May 14, 2018
