Falsely claims sexual misconduct accusers are 'women who I don't know'

Responding to three of his sexual misconduct accusers holding a press conference calling for a congressional investigation, Trump tweeted that Democrats were pushing 'false accusations and fabricated stories of women who I don't know and/or have never met.' PolitiFact found this blanket claim inaccurate: Trump had verifiably known or met at least eight of the roughly sixteen documented accusers, including former Apprentice contestants, beauty pageant participants, and a journalist. The White House subsequently narrowed the claim to apply only to the three women at the press conference. The episode fits a documented pattern of Trump dismissing credible misconduct allegations with blanket denials rather than addressing specifics.

"So now they are moving on to the false accusations and fabricated stories of women who I don't know and/or have never met." Quote verified against source
