Says he has "absolutely" considered breaking up the 9th Circuit after courts block his orders
A day after a federal judge blocked his executive order targeting sanctuary-city funding, Trump told the Washington Examiner he had "absolutely" considered proposals to break up the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, accusing litigants of judge shopping. The 9th Circuit had blocked both versions of his travel ban; the judge who issued the sanctuary-city ruling did not sit on that court. On Twitter he called the rulings "ridiculous" and vowed to "see you in the Supreme Court." Restructuring a federal circuit requires an act of Congress.
