Trump Foundation admits to “self-dealing” in IRS tax filings

New tax filings for the Donald J. Trump Foundation revealed that the charity admitted to violating IRS rules against “self-dealing” (using charitable funds to benefit the foundation’s leaders or their families) in 2015 and prior years. The admission confirmed earlier reporting by The Washington Post that Trump had used foundation money to settle legal claims against his businesses and buy portraits of himself.
