Refuses to disavow KKK and David Duke on CNN

In a CNN 'State of the Union' interview with Jake Tapper, Trump repeatedly refused to disavow the Ku Klux Klan or former Grand Wizard David Duke, claiming "I don't know anything about David Duke" and "I don't know anything about white supremacists." Despite having disavowed Duke in the past (2000), Trump feigned ignorance when pressed multiple times to reject their support, signaling a willingness to court the white nationalist vote. He later blamed a "bad earpiece" for the refusal.

"I don't know anything about David Duke. I don't know anything about what you're even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists." — CNN 'State of the Union' interview when asked to disavow David Duke and the KKK
