Attacks National Review as "failing" after anti-Trump issue
After the conservative National Review published its "Against Trump" issue featuring essays from 22 prominent conservatives opposing his candidacy, Trump lashed out on Twitter and in interviews. He called the magazine a "failing publication" and a "dying paper," dismissing the intellectual criticism as irrelevant while asserting that the late William F. Buckley Jr. would be "ashamed" of the magazine's direction. The RNC subsequently disinvited National Review from co-hosting an upcoming debate.
