Questions Ted Cruz’s eligibility and floats lawsuit threat

At the Jan. 14, 2016 Republican debate in North Charleston, South Carolina, Trump said there was a “very serious question” whether Ted Cruz, born in Canada to an American mother, was a “natural-born citizen” and warned that Democrats would sue if Cruz became the nominee, reviving birther-style doubts and suggesting Republicans could not risk nominating him.
