Mocks climate science with “where the hell is global warming?” blizzard tweet

As a major Northeast blizzard approached, Trump tweeted, “Where the hell is global warming when you need it?”, using winter weather to dismiss climate change and signaling the kind of weather-equals-climate taunts he would repeat throughout his campaign and presidency. InsideClimateNews, Grist, and later explainers from ABC, PBS, CNBC, and others all cite the Jan. 26, 2015 tweet as an example of how he misrepresented climate science by pointing to cold snaps as proof that global warming was a hoax.
