The morning after the Ferguson grand jury declined to indict Darren Wilson, Trump tweeted "Sadly, because president Obama has done such a poor job as president, you won't see another black president for generations!" The comment used unrest over police violence to argue that Barack Obama doomed future Black candidates, implicitly tying Black leadership to failure rather than acknowledging systemic racism.
