Claims "COLDEST WINTERS ever" disproves global warming

Trump tweeted "This is one of the COLDEST WINTERS ever, freezing all over the country for long periods of time! So much for GLOBAL WARMING." This repeated his pattern of using localized cold weather as supposed evidence against global climate change. The 2013-14 winter was indeed cold in parts of North America due to polar vortex effects, but global temperatures continued their long-term warming trend. Trump's tweet demonstrated either ignorance or deliberate misrepresentation of climate science.
