Following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, Trump tweeted his condolences, calling the massacre "heartbreaking" and a "horrible day for Newtown, CT and our country." Uncharacteristically, he also praised President Obama's response, tweeting that Obama "spoke for me and every American" in his speech addressing the tragedy.
