Former university principal returns degree in protest of Trump honor

Dr. David Kennedy, former principal of Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen, returned his own honorary degree to the institution in protest of its decision to award an honorary doctorate to Donald Trump. Kennedy called the award to Trump "wholly inappropriate" given the developer's aggressive tactics against local residents and the environment at the Menie Estate. The protest highlighted the deep local resentment toward Trump's bullying behavior in Scotland.
